Synopsis:
Recently completed and celebrated with a ribbon cutting, the Virtua Health College Research Center at Rowan University is a 180,000 SF health sciences teaching and research facility developed in partnership with Virtua Health on Rowan’s West Campus.
The facility brings together faculty, clinicians, and students from across Rowan University and Virtua Health, creating a collaborative environment for translational biomedical research. By aligning multidisciplinary expertise through this partnership, the center is designed to accelerate discovery and deliver meaningful improvements in patient care and community health.
Institutes: Two floors are dedicated to new Institutes featuring researchers from across Rowan University, Virtua Health College, and Virtua Health. The facility supports collaboration among faculty, clinicians, and students through two dedicated research institutes
Institute for Transplant & Regenerative Medicine Research
The work of this institute will include innovative approaches for self-powered regeneration, nano sutures for tissue
regeneration, resorbable grafting for improved patient outcomes, and enhanced imaging and segmentation.
Institute for Orthopedic & Neuromuscular Research
This institute will focus on research including innovative approaches for bio integrative orthopedic repair interventions, hydrogels for long bone fracture healing, and image-guided robotic surgery.
Labs will feature cell culture infrastructure, molecular analysis platforms, advanced imaging, and mechanical characterization equipment.
